myVEGAS Slots - My Vegas Trip with Free Rooms, Buffets and Shows (Save $275 in Las Vegas)

I wanted to make a post about one of my trips to Las Vegas while using myVEGAS Slots rewards and saved over $275! My boyfriend and I have been playing for a couple of years now, and we've been going to Vegas at least 2 times a year. Thanks to this game, we saved hundreds of dollars every time we went. Down below will be an example of our regular Vegas trips, including how much we spent, what rewards we redeemed and much more.

Day One - December 13th, Sunday

We first arrived to Mandalay Bay after our 3.5 hours car ride from Los Angeles to Las Vegas. Before our trip, we redeemed and booked our room through Mlife. One free weeknight room from Mandalay Bay costs 67,500 loyalty points (LP). Free rooms from the game will only allow you to book from Sunday-Thursday. Please check the blackout dates before you book the room. We only paid $36 for resort fee (it's $39 as of 2017).

This was our strip view from the room.
You can request the check-in desk to give you a strip view (no extra charge).

After we settled down into our room, we headed over to Mirage for dinner. Before heading into the buffet, we went to the Mlife desk in Mirage to redeem our BOGO dinner buffet into our Mlife card. A BOGO Mirage dinner costs 13,000 LP. When we went to the cashier at Cravings, somehow our BOGO reward turned into two free adult dinner. We're not sure how this happened, but it was very nice not having to pay for our dinner.

Here's a picture of Sean going in on the snow crab legs at Mirage's Cravings Buffet.

This was our receipt from Cravings. As you can see below, 2 dinner buffet costs $65.98, but with our player's reward comp, it covered the cost.

Day two - December 14th Monday

The next day, we checked out Mandalay Bay around 11 A.M. and headed over to Monte Carlo for some McDonald's. Sean and I had to kill some time before checking into MGM Grand at 3 P.M. So, we went to Bellagio by tram, and visited the conservatory & botanical garden.

Once it was close to 3 P.M., we headed over to MGM Grand to check in. Typically, when you redeem a room with MGM Grand, they will only offer the west wing king rooms. These wing rooms are a lot smaller than the grand rooms (difference of 96 sq. ft.). When Sean and I checked in, we politely asked lady at the check in desk if we could stay on the same floor as my friend. Since we booked a wing room and my friend booked a grand room, we couldn't stay on the same floor. Fortunately, the lady was nice enough to upgrade us for free into a king grand room! Everything worked out well in the end.

Here's a picture of my friend doing my eyebrows before heading out to dinner.

Initially, Sean and I were supposed to go to Aria for our two dinner buffet rewards, but my friend's family invited us to Bacchanal instead.

Day three - December 15th Tuesday

This was our last day of our Vegas trip. In the morning, Sean and I decided to head over to M&M's World and Coca-Cola store, next to MGM Grand. We took some pictures with the Coco-Cola Bear and bought a souvenir for our daughter.

Afterwards, we walked back to our hotel room to pack our things, and then checked out. Then we drove over to Bellagio. We didn't eat breakfast, because we were saving our stomachs for Bellagio lunch buffet. For the Bellagio lunch buffet, we used the BOGO reward, which costs 13,000 LP. So, we only spent $29 for two people.

Tips and Advice

1. If you're planning to do a trip like this, try to play and earn points from two or more myVEGAS accounts. My boyfriend and I split the rewards so each of us can redeem up to 3 rewards. It's faster and you can redeem more rewards.

2. Please be sure to check when the reward is valid, such as what days of the week it is valid or if it has any blackout dates. Plan your trip accordingly to the available dates.

3. Remember, each myVEGAS account is only allowed to redeem 3 rewards max within a rolling 30 day period. The reward redemption will expire 90 days after the date of purchase.

4. Try to redeem your rewards BEFORE heading to Las Vegas. The myVEGAS app will use your location to determine what rewards you can redeem. The variety of rewards is VERY limited when you're there. For example, rooms, buffets, and shows will not show up in the rewards section if you're already in Vegas.
